Wireless microphone
A wireless microphone uses a transmitter and receiver to carry audio without a microphone cable. Brief the number of users, movement and event layout.
What makes the microphone wireless
A wireless microphone system sends audio from a transmitter to a compatible receiver. The microphone may be handheld or connected to a bodypack, as with some headworn and lapel microphones. Several simultaneous systems need coordination; owning several wireless microphones does not automatically make every combination suitable for the same event.
Describe how people will use it
Tell the production team how many people may speak or perform at once, where they will stand and how far they need to move. Include audience questions, entrances and any microphone handovers. If artists or another supplier bring wireless equipment, share that information with the technical lead early so it can be considered with the rest of the setup.
Leave technical selection to the crew
Ask for a rehearsal and an agreed handover and backup plan. The responsible supplier should confirm equipment suitability and applicable local requirements; a generic online frequency recommendation is not a specification for a Lahore event.
