An exhibition stand with product demonstrations needs a different sound plan from a seated conference or a dinner with live music. At Expo Centre, identify the hall and your stand or programme footprint. At a hotel, identify the room and seating arrangement. Do not use the property’s largest advertised guest figure as the allowance for every space. Keep the stage, screens, control position and audience routes visible on the proposed layout.
Give each part of the programme its own brief
For a launch, list presentation sources, walk-on music and any live demonstration. For a conference, include the chair, panel microphones, audience questions and recording requirements. A wedding or private celebration needs entrance cues, family performances and the DJ or band’s inputs.
